Things have gotten complicated around here lately. I get emails from readers wondering what they paid for and what they are getting. I’m spending hours a month working on subscription expirations and renewals. And Substack sometimes fails to charge people for their subscriptions, and then fails to pay me. This work is financially challenging enough without that. I’ve put together a plan that deals with these issues.
Going forward, A Pause for Beauty and Creativity as a Way of Life will merge, and the surviving publication will be called The Journals of Archibald Campbell, wild artist. Its purpose is to show journaling in action. These posts are free and sent to all who opt in, Members and Nonmembers. The content is described here. The other part of the work of Heron Dance is creating books that describe journaling techniques. These techniques help us understand our lives and its characteristics, both hidden and obvious. They help us create unique lives and unique work.
Heron Dance publishes these books in both print and PDF format. Members will now be provided the PDFs in appreciation of their support, without which none of this cork would exist. All Member contributions will now be processed through the Heron Dance website. It is a secure SquareSpace checkout using Stripe. I don’t have access to credit card numbers. It offers monthly recurring subscriptions but annual contributions don’t recur automatically.
Members receive PDFs of the four books Heron Dance published in 2024, and will publish going forward. Members have access to these books in two formats:
Smaller file size, easy to download and in sufficient resolution to easily read.
High resolution files for print. You can print any pages you’d like to incorporate in your own journals. All of these books are printed 11 x 8.5 so can be printed on home printers.
