To focus on more abstract Zen-inspired work, all of our best-selling nature art prints are now 70% or more off. When these are sold, we’ll move on to just offering the original and five prints of each new painting, each signed and numbered.
Over the last thirty years Heron Dance has offered and sold over 3000 of Rod’s originals and many more thousands of prints. The prints in these collections are of the most popular of the paintings he’s done over the years.
All are nature paintings, though a couple in the in the broader sense of nature.
Some are painted in the classical watercolor tradition.
Some are painted out of the memories of the thousands of miles paddled. The painting below is of Big Trout Lake in Algonquin Park in Ontario, Canada, a huge lake way back in the woods — a lake with more wolves than campsites. For 22 years Rod spent the last week of September exploring this Park, sometimes alone, sometimes with friends.
Each set includes a bonus print or watercolor sketch chosen by the artist.
